Any holiday that involves tacos and margaritas – I’m on board! Add in the fact it’s my wedding anniversary, and we’ve got ourselves a reason to fiesta! This Cinco de Mayo, I decided to set up a romantic little Cinco de Mayo Table for Two for hubby and I. All that’s missing is a mariachi band and ocean breeze, but hey; I worked with what I got, lol.

Cinco de Mayo Table Decor

Anytime you are styling part of your home, whether it’s shelves or a table, I recommend shopping your home. Everything you see here, besides the little yellow cactus and glassware, were things I already owned! While we’re on the topic though, these margarita glasses from Dollar Tree are amazing quality for the price. (Highly recommend!)

I knew I wanted a more neutral table versus the super bright colors you are used to seeing with Cinco de Mayo, so instead I focused on layering textures. I started with the teal striped ‘tablecloth,’ which is actually a Mexican style blanket (we use it as our picnic blanket), and layered it with this beautiful, woven macrame. Candles and greenery are always great options for any tablescape, so I added in some gold for contrast along with both real and faux cactuses. (Cactuses? Cacti? lol not sure the plural for cactus… but you get the point.)

{P.S. In case you’re wondering who Adán is — it’s Spanish for Adam!}

Now, I just have to pour myself a margarita, cook up some tacos, and date night can commence! Maybe if I close my eyes and imagine hard enough, I can pretend I am somewhere hot and relaxing. Worth a shot, right?) 😎

If you set up your own little mesa para dos (or tres, or diez!), I hope this is helpful!
